New! Applications open for Social Activity Group Proposals at IEEE AP-S/URSI 2025 in Ottawa
What is a Social Activity Group?
  • It is a group with a shared interest, that meets outside of conference hours during the IEEE AP-S/URSI week
  • It can be a group with common interest in practicing a particular sport, visiting the city, discovering a particular landmark near the conference venue, or maybe to playing music, or tasting local food…
Eligibility
  • IEEE AP-S will sponsor a maximum of 10 affinity groups.
  • Every conference attendee can propose a Social Activity Group, with an associated budget request of max. $1000.
  • The group must be open to all attendees of the conference. Participation may be limited by the number of available seats, in which case the principle of "first come, first served" will be applied.
  • All selected social activity groups will be subject to acceptance by the IEEE AP-S DEIB committee and the President of IEEE AP-S.
Application
  1. Send a description within one page length (maximum) that describes the purpose of the Social Activity Group with a detailed budget.
